Neoprene Rubber

Neoprene rubber is a synthetic rubber made from polymerization process in chloroprene and is often called polychloroprene. Neoprene materials are often needed as raw materials for some important products because they have the following advantages:

  • Neoprene resistant to temperature or weather.
  • Neoprene is resistant to oil and water immersion.
  • Neoprene resistant to solvent.
  • etc.

The advantages of neoprene materials as mentioned above, make it as the main choice to be made as special products as follows:

  • Neoprene rubber sheets are used as raw material for rubber lining in the lining process for corrosion protection caused by certain chemicals such as oil, solvent or water immersion.
  • As raw material for bridge bearing bridge products.
  • Used as the most appropriate material for clothing and diving gloves, as it is resistant to water immersion and its ability to isolate cold temperatures when used for diving.
  • Used as an electrical insulator on various electronic equipment.
  • Used also as raw material for car seat cover. The use of this neoprene material is due to its resistance to water and UV rays. It is suitable for sweaty riders while driving a car.
  • Etc.

Neoprene rubber has several advantages over natural rubber. For example in its durability to work at high temperatures up to 200 ° F without any failure or damage to the physical neoprene rubber products. The disadvantage is that when working under 40 ° F, neoprene rubber products will experience failure or damage, usually becomes stiff or hardened.

Rubber materials also have advantages when combined in other objects such as for rubber lining processes that are bonded to metal such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, and other. With special treatment, Neoprene rubber can be glued to glass and acrylic.
